In 2017, Athena Hospitality Group was established as a full turnkey hotel management and development company with a focus on select service to upscale luxury hotels

The principals of Athena collectively have over seventy-five years of hospitality experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry involving construction, operations, branding and finance.

Currently Athena has ownership stake or sole ownership in over 25 hotels across various states around the country. We are an approved management company to own and operate for Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice, and  Wyndham Hotels.

OUR HISTORY

The story of Athena Hospitality Group is one of perseverance and vision. It all began back in 2000 when Jay Patel stepped up to lead his late father's hotel business, dreaming of something bigger than budget accommodations. Athena was born after the purchase of a Travel Lodge in Athens, Alabama - the city that became the group's namesake. After initial parterships and setbacks, Jay persevered, finding kindred spirits in different corners of the country to reshape the Athena brand. In 2017, these partnerships blossomed into a reinvented Athena Hospitality Group, marking a new chapter as a full-fledged management company.
