#IHGExtendedStay team is an extremely fun and talented group of individuals. They offered valuable information in the GM and DOS breakout sessions and put on a pretty "suite" happy hour for the attendees.
In addition to that, Athena's own General Manager Bob Harrison received the award for Highest Enrollment Efficiency Score for 2023! Congratulations, Bob! Your Athena family is very proud of you and your entire Candlewood team!

We wanted to share some pictures from today’s exciting visit. In honor of Housekeeping Appreciation Week, our La Quinta property had the pleasure of hosting Geoffrey Ballotti, President and CEO of Wyndham, and Shilpan "Shippy" Patel, Executive VP of Operations. They came out specifically to celebrate our incredible team members and acknowledge the hard work and dedication everyone has shown.
To make the visit even more fun, Geoff and Shippy competed against each other by cleaning a room. Our room attendants and supervisor then had the chance to critique their work, and they declared Geoff the winner! He then sat back afterward with a satisfied smile, knowing he had swept the competition (picture attached).
A special shout-out to our team members who looked sharp and dressed so professionally—you all represented us with pride! Your professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out.

Our property, Candlewood Suites in Gonzales, LA, has been impacted by hurricane Francine. Many of our dedicated team members have experienced personal losses, with damage to their homes and belongings.
Candlewood Suites is not just a place of business—it’s a cornerstone of our community, offering comfort and refuge to travelers, and providing stable jobs for our hardworking team. Unfortunately, the devastation has disrupted the lives of our staff and the services we provide.
We’re asking for your help to support the recovery of our team members who have been affected. Your donation will go directly towards repairs, replacing essential equipment, and providing assistance to our employees as they work to restore their homes and lives.
